Welcome to our info page
Here you can find information on how and where to download Custom Content used in our builds.
Please note that some CC used in our Lots and CAS may be in early access and/or prohibited for sharing by the creator so for this reason my Household and Lots files will NOT contain the CC used.
That's what this page if for.

HOW TO INSTALL CUSTOM CONTENT AND MODS
First we will deal with the Custom Content.
If you just need information on Mod installation, skip ahead to the next section!
As most of you know, you don't need mods to install Custom Content!
All you really need is your mouse and to know where your EA install folder is.

By default this is c:\users\-YOUR USERNAME HERE-\documents\electronic arts\the sims 4

If it is installed anywhere else, you'll probably be aware of it's location, as you'll have been the one to set it.
Mine is installed on my e: drive for example.

In this Sims 4 install folder will be another folder called mods.
This is where you put your CC!
A good practice is to set out some sort of organisation from the beginning.
A tip I would give, is to create individual folders within this Mods folder, Mine is sorted by CREATOR, for example.
The game will only recognise one folder deep into this mods archive, so keep it simple!
That's all you need to know to add custom content to your game!

Now, we will move on to MODS
Most mods just go straight into the aforementioned Mods folder
however...you must not put them into a folder within here as the game won't be able to find them!!
This is a good reason to have a tidy mods folder from the start...
The more mods you add, the harder it will be to find something you want to remove or update later ;)
There are exceptions to this, for example TOOLMOD, by Twisted Mexi and XML Injector by Scumbumbo, both of which have install instructions near their download links.
It's always good practice to check for mod install instructions at the download site, if the mod requires it, there will usually be something to instruct you there!

In conclusion....
....it's easier than you think to play with mods and custom content! If you can navigate your computer, you can do this!
